As a child, I spent all my free time directing and starring in horrendous YouTube films with my friends (Yes, they still exist. No, you can’t watch them), creating art projects and playing a little bit too much guitar hero.
After pressure to pursue a sensible job, I found myself super unhappy working in an office, spending all my money on concert tickets, with a gig being my safe space.
I realized when I was old and grey, I wanted to be rocking on stage like my ageing heroes and not stuck in an office like my ageing co-workers, so I quit my job and auditioned for a music university without telling anybody.
After a successful audition at The Academy of Contemporary Music, I stumbled upon a job listing - “Men with long hair wanted for filming”. A few months later, I found myself on my first ever movie set. It was for the iconic Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody. This has lead to me working on hundreds of different massive productions as a Supporting Artist, including being an Elf on The Witcher, a painter on Bridgerton and a prisoner on Antman. Although I much prefer the idea of being a little more front and center (and in focus).
In 2018 my life changed, when I found the National Air Guitar Championships. The event was held at a festival I was attending, and I just so happened to see them asking people to sign up.
Hearing about the prize of free festival tickets for next year, I knew I had to win. I gave it EVERYTHING I had, knee slides, crowd surfing, outfit changes and whatever else I could think of, and eventually was crowned National Air Guitar Champion.
The organizers then informed me that as the new champion, I was being flown to Finland to represent the UK at the World Championships later that summer, in front of thousands of air guitar fans.
I fell in love with the worldwide air guitar community and have flown back to Finland every year since to get involved.
Media loved the story so much, I was being interviewed on radio stations, newspapers and even a few TV shows! I loved being able to share my passion for music, and making people smile so have been fortunate to appear on a really wide range of different entertainment shows.
Teaching kids how to play air guitar on Cbeebies, singing on Romeo & Duet (A karaoke dating show) and being roasted by some of my favorite comedians on Comedy Central show Out Of Order.
